Handsome squarebound softcover, oversized at 9"x12", and at 112 pages, it's much more of a book than a magazine. Because this is in black and white, editor Jim Vadeboncoeur could afford to present more pages in these special annuals. All material here originally appeared and was meant to be in black and white.

And on top of all this, Jim used a cutting-edge printing format called Stochastic, which means sharper blacks and much clearer images. He hand-corrected any defects from the oriiginal appearance, so you can't get better reproduction than right here, right now.

These Annuals have always been very popular when we feature them at shows; once you see one, you'll be hooked. The first three volumes are sold out.

A wonderfully varied collection of rare work by illustrators taken from magazines and books published prior to 1923. The artists will be familiar, but these images are culled from very obscure sources and have often never been reprinted.

Jim spares no time nor expense to make this the finest possible magazine, printed on high quality heavy glossy paper, in the U.S. Each page is beautifully reproduced using the latest and best technology (Stochastic Printing, which yields richer, blacker blacks and crisp detail).

Vadeboncoeur has collected art and illustration for near 50 years now, so his sources are vast. Even the most veteran collector will find not only images from favorite artists that are new, but artists themselves who have previously escaped attention. I say this from first-hand experience, being a collector as long as Jim has been, but seeing both artists and images new to me.
