Chilling Adventures in Sorcery #1-5 and Red Circle Sorcery #6-7, 1972-74. Highly Recommended. By Gray Morrow, Alex Toth, Dan Decarlo, Howard Chaykin et al. Presented by the newly minted Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Archie gathered a top list of talent for their new horror title. Collected for the first time in graphic novel form, in black and white. Featuring an all-new cover by comic artist extraordinaire Francesco Francavilla (Afterlife With Archie)! Also work by Frank Thorne, Marv Wolfman, Dick Giordano, Alcazar, Bruce Jones...even Phil and Carol Seuling! Introduction by Jack Morelli. There's LOTS of fine work by the fine Gray Morrow, and overall it's a fine little collection.

The first Sabrina-presented issues feature humorous tales, but by the time we get to the last few issues, things have taken a more serious turn. These stories are very much like you would have found at DC's revamped House of Mystery which at the same time was presenting work by Jeffrey Jones and Neal Adams. And they also remind us of those great Stan Lee gems in the 1950s Atlas issues of Strange Tales and Journey Into Mystery.
