- Full Description
Bill Sienkiewicz is a modern master, having worked on some of Marvel's most iconic comics of the 1980s: Moon Knight, The New Mutants, and Elektra: Assassin. His unique style can't be replicated, yet many artists have been inspired to emulate him. This collection is filled with some of his finest covers, pin-ups, and exceptional pages. All have been meticulously scanned from the original art and reproduced to the exacting artist's edition standards that have won IDW Publishing five highly coveted Eisner Awards (to date)!
Just in our advance orders for this, it's become one of our best-selling Artifact Editions. Bill's highly personalized sketchbooks have always been very popular with us and quickly sell out. His style is unique, innovative, ground-breaking. He has a lot in common with Frank Miller, loading his stories with dynamic action and yet innovative, sometimes surreal panels which work so very well.
Elektra was a big, important and very popular project for him, and we have lots of full color work here to savour, from issues of Elektra Assassin #1-3, 5-8, as well as covers for #1, 3 and 5, a preliminary piece, and her being featured on special covers for Amazing Heroes #99, The Comics Journal #107, and back in her own title, #25.
