Also included are issue #153 (the classic "The Longest Hundred Yards") and issue #167, featuring the Spider-Slayer! As with all Artist's Editions, there is a special gallery section, presenting fine examples of Andru's Spider-Man work. Note: Small bump to the top of the spine, and 3/4 inch bump to the back top corner. Surprisingly, the interior pages are not effected and in great shape.

Details

Ross Andru was one of the most beloved artists ever to draw Spider-Man. Aside from Steve Ditko and John Romita, he is arguably the storyteller most associated with the webslinger. This Artist's Edition collects five complete issues, including the first three in his run, Amazing Spider-Man #125-127, and the first issue had John Romita inking Andru! Also included are issue #153 (the classic "The Longest Hundred Yards") and issue #167, featuring the Spider-Slayer! As with all Artist's Editions, there is a special gallery section, presenting fine examples of Andru's Spider-Man work.

The Gallery section includes pages from #166 (7 pages), 173, 180, 185, and eight pages from Marvel Team-Up #1, 3, 6, 12, and 15, including three splash pages. These are all pencilled by Andru, with inks by Jim Mooney, Mike Esposito, Frank Giacoia and Don Perlin.

The complete stories, besides the one mentioned above inked by Romita, feature inking by Jim Mooney, Giacoia & Dave Hunt, and three by Mike Esposito.

New introduction by writer Gerry Conway.
