Here's more about Volume 6:

Fremount's campaign slogan, "Jes' Fine," sparks political debates about just who can and should be president — maybe even a woman!

Mark Evanier includes an "Editorial Note," putting these strips in perspective, and adding a great anecdote about a attending a wedding reception for comic Stan Freberg, along with Walt's daughter Carolyn and Chuck Jones' daughter Linda. Chuck and Kelly famously fought throughout the making of the 1969 television event, The Pogo Special Birthday Special. Carolyn wanted to meet Linda and see about burying the hatchett for their two dads. You'll enjoy the denoument!

And yes, the 1969 TV show does have Special twice in the title.

And Garfield's creator Jim Davis talks about discovering and enjoying Pogo, long before Jim became famous for his own creation.
