- Full Description
Tarzan Sunday pages by Russ Manning, Rick O'Shay by Stan Lynde, Flash Gordon Sundays by Harry Harrison and the superlative Mac Raboy, Gasoline Alley by Dick Moores, Alley Oop by V.T. Hamlin, Steve Canyon by Milton Caniff, and Casey Ruggles by Warren Tufts! Plus more classic stories in black & white, including Lee Falk's The Phantom and Krazy Kat by George Herriman, Steve Roper and now in the 1960s Vietnam War, we find Roy Crane's Buz Sawyer still surrounded by cute girls and dangerous missons.
America's longest-running magazine of classic comics now has twice as many pages of strips as the earlier version, on better paper, including 8 pages of full-color comic strips and features.
Garth begins in this issue, the fine adventure strip that first brought British nudity to the comics world in the U.S. The creator of Modesty Blaise offers us an entirely new hero and cast of characters in "Warriors of Krull, Chapter One." Eventually Garth would offer us artwork by the same creators as Modesty, such as Romero, who here offers us up a fine full color cover.
Also worth mentioning here is the work by Mac Raboy on Flash Gordon. It's top drawer and it's unlikely that you have ever seen it before, being very little collected except years ago in a short series from Kitchen Sink.
