Surprise appearance of the great John Severin doing a complete issue here, and another fine work by Bruce Timm.

Artist Cary Nord thoroughly impressed me when I first began reading this new series from Dark Horse, and it's great to see his work collected here. The bonus material includes an interview with him, forewords by Kurt Busiek and DHC publisher himself, Mike Richardson, two essays on Robert E. Howard by Mark Finn, "Probable Outline of Conan's Career" by P. Shuyler Miller and John Clark, and page after page of character studies accompanied by Cary Nord's own words about working this all out.
