Recommended. By Bruno Enna. Art by Fabio Celoni and Luca Merli. This looks like great fun, and it's fabulously, lushing drawn, packed with detail. Donald Duck is Doctor Victor von Duckenstein—a doctor with a talent for the art of creation. Sent off to the desolate outskirts of the town of Ingolstadt by Uncle Scrooge von Duck, Victor searches for the secret to creation. In the midst of his experiments, he cannot ignore the longing in his heart for the lady Daisy Beth, who is betrothed to his cousin, Gladstone. Drawing inspiration from old books of science and the temptation of challenging nature, Victor finds the means to make his vision into a reality. And the kids are around to help our sympathetic monster make his way in the world!

Although this has the look of an Italian original story, we don't see any sign that it's collected from anywhere else. The artwork is outstanding, including the rich coloring. It's all in fun, kind of, and the monster offers us new sympathy towards the original Mary Shelley creation. Looks like a fun read.
