Never before published in English. Fantagraphics launches a new series of books devoted to fine Disney creators rarely seen in the U.S. Here are three Mickey Mouse classics drawn by the great Italian artist, Romano Scarpa (1927-2005): "The Delta Dimension," "The Bleep-Bleep 15," and "The Fabulous City of Shan-Grilla." When Disney Legend Floyd Gottfredson stopped creating new Mickey Mouse adventures in 1955, Scarpa picked up the Mickey mantle and quickly proved himself a worthy successor, spinning out decades’ worth of new Mickey action epics.

In "Delta Dimension" Mickey’s town is hit by a blizzard of strange glowing snow, and everyone thinks it’s a publicity stunt. But genius Dr. Einmug knows better: Pegleg Pete is on the loose with Einmug’s weather-control secrets! Only Mickey and Einmug’s mysterious companion — the odd little Atomo Bleep-Bleep — can save the day before a poison rainstorm wipes Mouseton off the map!

This volume also reunites Mickey, Atomo, and Pete for Scarpa’s “The Bleep-Bleep 15” and “The Fabulous Kingdom of Shan-Grilla,” two internationally famous tales making their North American debut!

Now Fantagraphics is translating and anthologizing Scarpa’s best! Includes a two-page Afterword that pictures and talks about Scarpa's career in comics, by Francesco Stajano and Leonardo Gori.

This will be collected into a two-volume slipcased set after Volume 2 is published. That set is scheduled for release in October and you can reserve a copy now.
