Mad's sister mag from EC, every bit as funny and wild as Mad itself. Glorious re-mastered color and collecting satires supreme from the splendid Al Feldstein, and with art by Basil Wolverton too! Spoofs include Little Orphan Annie, John Wayne (in two different films), Dick Tracy, The Phantom, Li'l Abner, Smitty, Flying Saucers, hot current movies like African Queen and Spillane's My Gun is the Jury!!

Mad turned out to be so successful, EC was being widely imitated by other publishers, from Marvel (Riot, Crazy) and the like. So they went back and started another satire zine, with the same superb line-up of creators. Panic lasted twelve issues, so this is the first of two that will collect the entire series. Fun stuff, and far less collected than the better known Mad. Fresh fodder for you EC junkies!

We also continue to like the re-mastered coloring in these Dark Horse editions, its lends a fresh feel to the stories. In all honesty, the original EC Comics were often rather badly printed and offered sometimes muddy, dark coloring, so this is an improvement upon the originals. Foreword by Bob Fingerman. Introduction by Grant Geissman.
