Plus: Spider-Man and the Human Torch take on Hydro-Man! But with the Fantastic Four's reputation in tatters, is associating with a misunderstood wall-crawler really wise? And when Manhattan finds itself surrounded by a fleet of miles-high alien spacecraft, it's time for the Fantastic Four to do what they do best!

The numbering here can be confusing, since this "third series" FF title began in 1998. Thus the #60-70, repeating the 1961 numbering. To further complicate things, they decided to return to the original numbering after #70, so the next sequential issue was #500 and the series carried on from there with the original numbering restored. Got that? See Overstreet if you need more clarification.

This is packed with bonus material. I mentioned some above, and Stan's #1 synopsis was a page stopper for me. I had to read that first. Then we have all 500 issues of covers...smaller than postage stamp size, but they are all there! And page after page of deleted scenes, outtakes, it just never stops. Karl Kesel, Tom Brevoort, Fred Hembeck (with a two-pager on the FF), commentary from Mike Wieringo, etc. An amazing compilation. These guys REALLY cared about treating the FF with respect while offering us a new series of dynamic stories.
