I've said elsewhere that the horror comics created by Harvey in the early 1950s came close to rivaling EC's own titles. This is the very beginnings of their horror line. Here is "Launched in Blood," "The Dead Won't Due," "Phantoms in the Flames," "Tombstones to Tibet," "The Forest of Skeletons," "The Sewer Monsters," and much, much more--28 stories in all.
Artists like Rudy Palais and Bob Powell who each contribute at least a story in every issue; Palais, sometimes two in an issue! All in their best, over-the-top styles. There's also work by Lee Elias, John Giunta, Manny Stallman and Howard Nostrand.
This softcover edition drops all special features and introductions that appear in the hardcover titles, but includes all covers, stories, text stories, even most ads to the first five issues. The hardcover contains seven issues.
