Details
Herb Trimpe was one of the go-to artists working at the beginning of The Marvel Age of Comics in the 1960s and 1970s. His extended run on The Incredible Hulk, beginning when the Hulk still shared Tales to Astonish with Ant-Man/Giant-Man, is a high point for many fans, with masterful inks by John Severin and others. Five complete stories plus 17 covers and three pages of unpublished doodles.
As always, all artwork has been scanned in full color to capture all details and nuances, pencil doodles and notes. Printed in the same size as the original artwork, and handsomely hardbound.
One cover is shown both in pencils, and then inked by John Severin. Covers run from #110 to #165. And even better, Herb himself comments on each cover. The complete stories are from The Incredible Hulk #127, 131, 134, 146, 157, 153 and 156.
Stories are by Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, Gary Freidrich, and the renowned Archie Goodwin.
