It has been quite a few years since an art book devoted to Don Maitz was available. This nicely brings us up to date on his work, including some of his finest work and much of his more recent material, never before collected. He's married to Janny Wurts, a noted fantasy author and artist herself. Don talks in incredible detail on his working methods, from first reading the work, to selecting among several ideas, to working with art directors, to finally transferring artwork that begins as thumbnails and acrylic pieces, to final highly delineated oil paintings...his favorite media.
Thanks for a special offer from our distributor (the publisher has never reduced a price on these, since all issues inevitably sell out), we have these on sale for a limited time.
