The All-New Wild Adventures of Doc Savage. This deluxe edition also includes a special 11-page afterword, not in the regular edition, describing how this story is Murray's first based in World War II, expanding on a plot element put aside by Lester Dent at the suggestion of his new editor for the pulp series. With photos and preliminary cover artwork.

When a vivacious blonde convinces Monk Mayfair to skip an important sea voyage to London, and instead run off to her Louisiana plantation, Ham Brooks is very suspicious. Doc enters the picture and things start popping. Finding themselves on a steamship bound for the Caribbean, Doc, Ham, and a reluctant Monk become embroiled in wartime intrigue.

Who is desperately trying to keep them off the Northern Star, and why? From New York City to the Bahama Banks, our boys follow the trail, making new allies along the way, until they plunge into a hurricane of horror only some will survive...

Will Murray has now written 18 new Doc Savage novels, this being the latest. The Sinister Shadow, a cross-over with The Shadow, was the previous novel (#17), Skull Island, which describes Doc's meeting with King Kong, was #12 and  The Frightened Fish, the 3rd in this new series.

It was Will Murray's wonderful new Tarzan novel, Return to Pal-Ul-Don, that first introduced us to his new fiction. Previously, we touted his wonderful essays in every issue of Sanctum's The Shadow and Doc Savage double-novel series.
