From Kurt Busiek: "A fascinating, layered and gorgeous adventure...makes you feel you've stepped into an undiscovered Tarzan novel. A rare treat..." Eric Larsen says "...the characters we know and love [in] a world that is new and different...both familiar and unfamilar. It's innovative and original, while true to its roots. Bravo." Can Tarzan's vine-swinging skills serve him in the half-flooded ruins of a future London? Lush covers and chapters 1-3 by Yeates, 4-15 by Bo Hampton.

Erik Larson says it all here: "In a day when so many creators seem hellbent on reinventing characters and doing their 'take' on them, it's refreshing to have creators tell a story with characters as they were created. This is Tarzan. This is Jane. They look like Tarzan and Jane. They sound like Tarzan and Jane."

New 2018 introduction by author Al Gordon. He describes how he grew up discovering comics and Tarzan in the original ERB novels, and how this was a dream project to work with two close friends, Yeates and Hampton. But this was done like a 1930s-40s serial, in three distinct parts. It was first serialized in Dark Horse Presents in three issues, then released as a single comic. Then the follow up appeared serialized again, in seven more issues. Then he finished it up with five new chapters which appear here for the very first time. He meant this to read like a serial adventure, so you can relish each of the fifteen chapters, then move on to the next one...

Thomas Yeates is the current artist of the Prince Valiant Sunday Page, and has been doing amazing work in comics since the 1970s. He's a graduate of the Joe Kubert School, and was close friends with Al Williamson, who is one of the inspirations he aknowledges, along with Alex Raymond and other masters.
