Highly Recommended. By Jules Verne. Adapted by Gary Gianni. Introduction by Ray Bradbury. The classic tale of Nemo and the fearsome Nautilus submarine is retold in a wonderful new graphic novel, capturing the vintage feel of the original story, written in the 1860s. The combination of Verne's masterful storytelling and Gianni's dynamic graphic style makes this exciting adventure of life in the first submarine not to be missed.

Bradbury offers us a major piece of writing about Jules Verne's masterpiece, titled "The Ardent Blasphemers" and covering four pages of small type! Coloring is beautifully done by Jim & Ruth Keegan, artists in their own right on numerous REH projects.

And if that isn't enough, A second feature includes the full text of a scarce short story, The Sea Raiders, by fellow futurist H.G. Wells. Gianni excells here as he provides 10 original, full color illustrations. It's the story of a quite little English coastal village in the 1800s. Fishermen are suddenly attacked by a school of giant octopi and a battle for survival ensues. Illustrated endpapers, handsome large size hardcover.
