An entirely new Tarzan novel, written by the author of Tarzan and the Martian Legion, with nine color paintings (three double-page fold outs), black and white spot illustrations and a full color wraparound dust jacket, all by legend Alex Niño. Finely printed letterpress title page, color painted map endpapers and design work by Zavier Cabarga, printed on premium paper, smyth-sewn and cased in Italian book cloth. Signed by all four contributors! We do not expect this to last long, this is a very small limitation.

This is a story of young Tarzan, which begins when he is twelve years old. He is still firmly living with the apes, and white men and even natives are new in his life, and so very alien. Here is the jungle god in his untutored youth, living amongst the treetops and battling every day just to stay alive.

When Tarzan and the Martian Legion first appeared, author and publisher Buddy (Jake) Saunders planned to sell all the copies, from deluxe to super deluxe, on his own website. And as the owner of MyComicShop, he certainly knows how to sell online. But eventually even he discovered he could only reach so many fans, and others who didn't deal online, or work with MyComicShop, might never discover his fine book. So he enlisted us to handle it also, and we've been doing well with it ever since.

Although Buddy has written other books, this is the first pure Tarzan novel he's ever done. So we are especially pleased to be able to offer these from the get-go, particularly given the small limitation on the deluxe edition. I don't expect this to last terribly long, but for now I hope we have brought in enough of both editions to satisfy orders--response is already strong for this. The Martian Legion is a testament to fine book production, and this new volume is also be a fine example of the best in art and design. It's been co-produced by the same publisher who did the fine new Grosset and Dunlap edition of Back to the Stone Age.

The deluxe is unlikely to be available through other outlets at all, and the trade edition has yet to be announced through normal channels, as I write this.

Bound in green cloth with gold embossed titles, in a wrap-around full color jacket. Larger than the typically sized Tarzan novel, this is an extremely handsome volume in every way.
