The third volume of a four-book series collecting the entire run of the Tarzan newspaper strip by Russ Manning. This includes the final two complete daily storylines, plus four extended Sunday adventures. In the dailies from August 2, 1971 through July 29, 1972, Tarzan returns to the Earth's core, while Korak plays guide on the dangerous white water river. In the Sundays from January 24, 1971 through March 17, 1974, Tarzan travels to Pal-ul-don and Korak enters the City of Xuja.

Two more Sunday page adventures are "Jad-Bal-Ja of the Apes," and "Korak and the Igotha." Tarzan's return to Pal-Ul-Don is a highlight here, where the natives are just 12" high and huge alien creatures, much like dinosaurs, still rule the land. And besides Jane, there are lots of pretty girls here to rescue from man and beast, and man-beasts. Superbly drawn and exciting work, some of the finest art ever on the Tarzan newspaper strips. More than half of this collection is full color Sunday pages, one per page.

Henry G. Franke provides a long, fascinating introduction, "The Day the Tarzan Dailies Ended." He includes lots of great photos of Manning at work on the strip, accepting awards, with film stars and assistants (Mike Royer and Bill Stout), original artwork from the European graphic albums (by Manning) and color keys from outstanding pages.

Note: These copies have bumped corners and torn dust jackets.
