- Full Description
Vintage paperback from an obscure small publisher, collecting one of the earliest HPL appearances in paperback. With cool original cover art. A horror short story by H. P. Lovecraft. Written in 1928, it was first published in the April 1929 issue of Weird Tales (pp. 481–508). It takes place in Dunwich, a fictional town in Massachusetts. It is considered one of the core stories of the Cthulhu Mythos. The Dunwich Horror is one of the few tales Lovecraft wrote wherein the heroes successfully defeat the antagonistic entity or monster of the story.
Note: This is an out of print, used and/or rare book. It is not as-new, in "mint" condition. Very Good. Creases in the spine and book pages are wavy. Small bump and cover crease to the bottom corner. Actually a very solid copy with a bright cover. Only the waviness of the book itself, probably due to being slightly damp at some time, keeps this from being near fine. I just upgraded this with a slightly better copy...this was in my collection until now. -Bud
