A tale of super-heroics and family that has taken eighty years to be told, uncovering The Lone Ranger's familial link to the emergence of The Green Hornet, where the story kicks off in 1936! What is the blood connection that unites two masked heroes, separated by generations? An aged Lone Ranger and Tonto work with the Green Hornet and Kato on a new case, while flashbacks to the LR's younger days show how this mystery all got started. Handsomely drawn in a kind of Neal Adams style, this looks like a fun read.

Author Michael Uslan provides eight pages of panel-by-panel insights into the story, putting all the little details into perspective. This is a real bonus. Plus model sheets of the young Lone Ranger and the Green Hornet. Also original covers by Jan Duursema (issues #2-5) and by John Cassaday (issue #1 and the collection cover).

We like how the story moves from 1936, then back to the Lone Ranger's early days. Dan Reid is here, Elliot Ness, and even Hitler and the Nazis are part of the story. It is, after all 1936, and the second world war is fast approaching.
