Two agents of 24th century Earth patrol space and time to safeguard both the planet’s future and its past. The 17th volume of Valerian and Laureline, one of the most influential science-fiction comic series of the past 40 years!

"Amazing ideas, magnificent science-fiction moments, incredible artwork, genius characterization, emotional nuances...everything is simply sublime....This is a beautiful, poignant tale..." -Richard Bruton, Forbidden Planet International Blog

"...this series combines the wonders of the universe with the subtleties of human existence in an absolutely spectacular way." -JT Lindroos, Bookgasm

I'm having fun rereading some of these, and discovering ones I missed the first time around. I was importing these from France back in the 1970s and 1980s, before they were translated to English--then we handled the translations published in this country. But this adventure I think is the last one I remember, meaning the next five albums are all new to us, and perhaps to you also.

The stories are novel-length, allowing far more plots and subplots, more characters, more twists and turns, than you get with most typical comic books. These were done not as comics but as free-standing albums, in this case, 52 pages of adventure. Makes for a really enjoyable break. -Bud
