Yeates scarcely needs an introduction. He currently is drawing the Sunday Prince Valiant page, written by Mark Schultz. His work is strongly influenced by his heroes: Hal Foster, Joe Kubert, Al Williamson, and Roy Krenkel. He graduated with the first-ever class at the Joe Kubert School. He immediately started drawing Sgt. Rock, Warlord and Swamp Thing, then independents like Aztec Ace, Airboy and stories for Alien Worlds. He worked on Dragonlance for TSR, did 2-1/2 years on Tarzan, did Dracula vs. Zorro for Topps. He did two Universe X specials for Marvel, starring The X-Men, in collaboration with Alex Ross and John Totleben. And all this before 2001, except for his current work on Valiant and independent projects. We just helped co-publish with him his third sketchbook, Twixt Two Worlds 3.
