Lone Sloane is on the planet aptly named Delirius, one of the strangest places in the galaxy, accompanied by Mali, the daughter of his friend Yearl Martian. They're braving Lovecraftian horrors to save the inhabitants of Delirius from madness! New edition of the ground-breaking 1970s graphic novel, set 800 years in the future.

This is one of several graphic novels, all now being reprinted, that made Druillet the most popular French artist/creator in the U.S. in the 1970's. He took direction from Jack Kirby and from epic works of science fiction and wove an amazing, galaxy-spanning series on a scale never before explored in comics.

This was one of the very first French graphic novels to be translated into English, along with Barbarella. But even before that happened, we at Bud Plant were importing the original French albums--they became bestsellers for the artwork alone back in those early days.

Druillet also incorporates psychedelic touches and influences from Michael Moorcock's Elric...it's a wondrous melting pot of grand themes, panoramic artwork and Star Wars-like storytelling.

Philippe Druillet is a comics artist and writer, known for his innovative approach to visual design. In the U.S., he's best known for his graphic adaptation of Michael Moorcock's Elric hit fantasy series, Elric: the Return to Melnibone, and his work for Heavy Metal, such as City of Flowers.
