Xenozoic Tales is the classic story of a post-apocalyptic future where mankind has retreated to vast subterranean cities to escape a world ravaged by environmental calamities. Centuries later, upon emerging from their underground dwellings, they find their civilization is gone--replaced with the most fearsome beasts to ever walk the Earth...Dinosaurs!

Mark Schultz delivers an epic adventure tale, one complete with romance and intrigue. Collecting issues 9 through 14 of Xenozoic Tales, the final six chapters (so far), and with Schultz at the peak of his artistic powers.

Here is the gorgeous scientist and love interest Hanna Dundee, who can wield a gun as well as any man, but who is a heart-stopping beauty. Mark's drawings of Hannah quickly made him a go-to artist for pin-ups and illustration of beautiful women. And here is mechanic Jack Tenrec, a two-fisted adventurer trying to cope with the independent Hanna.

And here too are the Cadillacs and other classic cars. Somehow perfect conditions classic autos have also survived the holocaust! Thus the secondary title of this series (and of the television program it inspired)...Cadillacs and Dinosaurs!

While appearing to be in black and white, each page has been scanned in COLOR to mimic as closely as possible the experience of viewing the actual original art--for example, you are able to clearly see paste-overs, blue pencils in the art, editorial notes, art corrections. Each pages is printed the same size as drawn, and the paper selected is as close as possible to the original art board. Mark's fine-line work put him in the rarefied world of Frank Frazetta and Al Williamson, who were both inspirations to him. His brush and ink work is gorgeous and here, at last, is the absolute best place to see every fine detail. Includes signed bookplate.
