Scottish artist and illustrator Sir William Russell Flint was was known especially for his watercolor paintings of women. He also worked in oils, tempera, and printmaking.This book is a choice selection of 134 of the artist's drawings of "all virtuous young ladies who pose unadorned for honest artists," as the dedication puts it. Drawn in various states of undress, the dainty models are accompanied by humorous text by the author.
