Signed! with small drawing, from the verteran Disney comics illustrator. Recommended. By Bob Foster. Foreword by Floyd Norman, Afterword by Bill Spicer. Excerpted from the foreword by Floyd Norman: “Just when you thought people couldn’t get any dumber, they managed to exceed all expectations. Lucky for us, Bob Foster has become an expert in the many, minor annoyances of life. To be fair, Bob’s not a complainer or a grump. He just happens to be an astute observer of the human condition. Though he may not be as forgiving as the next person, his measured annoyance at incompetence is always fun. As our mutual pal, Willie Ito would often say, ‘That’s just Bob.’ "

"Little Orphan Anime" centerfold; comic strips, vignettes and stories of Bob's take on Peeves, from the viewpoint (and pen) of a verteran of comics. Bob first came to our notice as a contributor to Promethean Enterprises (1969-75)  in a hilarious spoof on comic cons way back when. His career took him to Denmark to oversee the creation of Disney comics in Europe, working with all the fabled artists now being collected in Fantagraphics Disney Masters series. He wrote and drew for numerous Disney film adaptations and much more while there, and then back in Southern California.

Includes a "blow-in bonus," a Christmas poem first published in the Animation Guild Newsletter, 2012. Wrap-around cover painting.

“…Don’t be mistaken. It’s not just plain old grumbling that sets Bob apart. His patience and analysis of a given situation always brings a smile to my face. One can’t help but think of a scowling W. C. Fields, or an expressionless George Sanders watching Inspector Clouseau flailing about the room destroying everything in his path.

“Of course, there’s always an upside. The things that often rankle Bob can actually have a positive outcome. Lucky for all of us you’ll find that in Peeve du Jour. It’s a clever collection of confrontations with the clueless. And, it’s delicious as well as delightful.”

Printed in a tiny edition by Bob himself, now comfortably retired from the LA (and Denmark Disney Studios) rat-race in the wild of Oregon. Last year he graced us with his Christmas Cards collection, complete with a small drawing in each book. He does it again this time, with another cool character doodle in this new limited edition.
