If you could only collect one volume in this series, this might just be the one. Packed with issue after issue with the premier artists above, plus the fabulous, highly individual "Futura" by unsung great Raphael Astarita, a no-word-balloons masterpiece of serial adventures in space with a beautiful and mysterious heroine.
There's loads of wonderful Murphy Anderson, doing both his regular feature and special two-pagers, "Life on Other Worlds." Soon to be EC veteran George Evans is now the regular artist on "Lost World," one of the longest running features--and the best--in the entire run. Matt Baker draws sexy ladies like no one else with his platinum-haired beauty, "Mysta of the Moon," in every issue.
Another coming EC veteran, Graham Ingels, continues to contribute, moving from "Lost World" to "Auro, Lord of Jupiter." And the superlative Maurice Whitman, who became the one-and-only cover artist for the last two or three years of all the Fiction House titles--for good reason--here takes on "Star Pirate." His fine-line style comes from someone who really cared for what he was creating. He's another unsung master of the period.
Collecting the complete Fiction House run from the thirteen year period ending in 1953, with #72. Also here: Flint Baker, Reef Ryan, The Space Rangers, Gale Allen, and others, and a bevy of the most scantily-clad females you're likely to ever see in comics!
