Four more big 64-page issues with classic space adventures from the earliest days of comics, from the #1 sci-fi title of the Golden Age that appeared from Fiction House over a thirteen-year period ending in 1953. Also here: Buzz Crandall of the Space Patrol, the rare (for Fiction House) super-hero Red Comet, plus many more. This all-time-great sci-fi title was just beginning to hit its stride.

Features notes by Roy Thomas, and a long illustrated feature on the Planet and each of its featured heroes and heroiones by noted comics historian, Ron Goulart. Included are pictures of six of the creators and original Planet Stories pulp covers.

There's lots of artist Al Walker's Norge Benson, recently covered in depth by Michael Gilbert as one of the funniest and most well-drawn Fiction House features.

Never before collected. Along with The Phantom Lady, this is the best-selling of all the PS Art Books archive collections. Publisher Fiction House often adapted their pulp magazine titles to comics. Planet, along with Jungle and Wings, was an example of this. The stories here are fun, clearly inspired by their pulp roots, full of two-fisted spaceship pilots, bizarre alien creatures, and even a god-like entity or two. And with the usual Fiction House emphasis on long-legged good-looking gals, whether they are heroines like Gale Allen and her all-girl space squadron, or co-stars, usually threatened and abused by all manner of space bad boys (or bad-things).
