- Full Description
More whacked-out weirdness from the days when comic books had an edge, and featuring (in issue #3) an appearance from everyone's favourite jungle princess, Rulah! The line-up includes writer Bruce Hamilton (later a comics publisher himself) and young Steve Ditko. Plus the unknown "Iger Shop" talents going to town on over-the-top horror.
Now collected together for the first time are all the stories, first published by Ajax/Farrell, one of the classic "b" comics outfits, who chased trends just like Stan Lee and Atlas did. And tried to outdo EC and the other publishers with grisly, horrible stories with lots of skeletons, ghosts, evil ghouls, murderous spouses, the undead...
There are decapitation stories, strangling, bondage, lovely women being shrunken down to doll size to become a evil scientist's plaything...all perfectly dreadful threats to sanity!
Features all the original stories digitally enhanced and faithfully reproduced. Other artists include Harry Belil and Sy Moskowitz.
Strange Fantasy was formerly Rocketman (with one issue) and picked up where Rocketman ceased publication. Strange Fantasy is then numbered 2-14 rather than 1-13. The title left newsstands in 1954, the victim of the hearings in the Senate and the upcoming comics code.
