This is an offbeat run but one of the most diverse AND excellent in this series. The Ekgren covers are classics and highly collectible, they are so very strange. The Kubert work is just great, this is just before he moved over to DC and became a career stalwart there, beginning with his wonderful work on The Brave and the Bold and of course, in the DC war comics like Our Army at War. Cameron I have waxed poetic about before. His work for Classics Illustrated on titles like The Time Machine, War of the Worlds and Daniel Boone was some of the best in the later-era Classics. He did a lot of work for Ace titles and just a bit for St. John, but every so often he did a story that just steps out and sings. Two of those are here.
