Description

Wallace Wood takes aim at comics icons in such stories as “Lil an’ Abner”, “Perry and the Privates”, “Prince Violate”, “Stuporman Meets Blunder Woman”, “Flasher Gordon”, and “Starzan”– all in explicit, Tijuana 8-pager style. His own “Sally Forth” is here with explicit x-rated stories, Wood’s commentaries on sex and society in “The Sexual Revolution” and “Brave Nude World”, “The Marquis de Sade Coloring Book”, a series of episodes with “Far Out Fables,” “The Wizard of Ooz,” in full color, and “Dragonella”.

The most complete collection of Wood’s erotic work, from his early gag cartoons for Dude and Gent in the 1950s, to his sexy fairy tale parodies and all of his covers for Screw magazine, and finally to his infamous (and over the top nasty) issues of Gang Bang, at the very end of his career when he was doing straight-out porn, but with a Wally Wood style.

Of course, his scandalous “Disneyland Memorial Orgy” is here, Marvel’s obscure adult magazine Pussycat from 1965, and Far-Out Fables which ran in four issues of Cavalcade from 1965-67. He parodies his own famous EC story “My World” with “My Word”, from the underground comic book Big Apple Comics, published by Marvel’s own Flo Steinberg in 1976. Plus plates of Wally Wood’s Sex Fantasy Portfolio and “Malice in Wonderland,” Woods adult version of Alice in Wonderland, from five issues of National Screw.

And much more, a plethora of often obscure and rarely collected work, from every decade of his career. This was first published in 2019 and very, very quickly sold out.
