Very early work but classic still, by an all-star cast: Johnny Craig, Wallace Wood, Graham Ingles, Jack Kamen, Jack Davis, Al Feldstein, Harvey Kurtzman, and Harry Harrison! New digital colors, using Marie Severin’s original palette as a guide. Includes some original ads and all text stories.

The first issue, #15, is today one of the scarcest EC issues. #16 features the first appearance of “The Witches Cauldron” and the Old Witch (by Kamen), where she begins as the hostess of The Haunt of Fear and co-host of the other two horror titles, Tales from the Crypt and The Vault of Horror.

#17 has the origin of The Crypt of Terror, Vault of Horror and Haunt of Fear, used in Seduction of the Innocent. The last page of Ingles’ story was used by the N.Y. Legis. Comm. Monster Maker is based on Frankenstein.

#4 – Ingles becomes the regular cover and opening story artist for the Old Witch. First appearance of the Vault Keeper and The Crypt Keeper in Haunt of Fear.

#5 – Injury to the eye panel in the Wally Wood story.

#6 – The Crypt Keeper by Feldstein begins.

New introduction by Robert Englund.
