Consumed by vengeance, the ape-man wages guerrilla warfare against the hated enemy, using his most savage tactics to help the Allies drive the invaders from his land ..including loosing a starving, angry lion in German trenches! One of my favorite Tarzan novels!

This is a savage Tarzan like you’ve never seen him, convinced Jane is dead and out for German blood. Great stuff! As the British army prevails, Tarzan gives up on civilization and goes to rejoin the great apes that are his family—only to be confronted by a trackless wasteland that stands in his way. Having endured a trial of unimaginable torment, he enters the inaccessible lost valley of Xuja, a city of maniacs. Outnumbered by crazed foes and their lion and parrot familiars, the ape-man must liberate his friends where madness rules. And guess who’s not dead after all?

New foreword by Henry Franke. 24 pages of bonus archival material: art by J. Allen St. John from the first edition, the first pulp cover appearance, material from ERB’s notebooks, letters to and from editors, comic book covers from 1967 and 1976, and a special prologue to Tarzan and the Valley of Luna.

Book 7 in the new definitive Tarzan novels from ERB, Inc. Also available in a discounted set of Book 5-8. All of the new Joe Jusko covers are superb, just incredible, and his new and different black and white frontispiece illustration in each of these new books are excellent.
