General circulation on this doesn’t begin until August. But by special arrangement with the publisher, we have copies now and at $10 less than the price it will be regular retail.

Cooper explores instinct and intuition as the spark of artistic creation, to delight the feral child at our core.

More than 230 works in a variety of media fill this collection of art from the unique mind of J.A.W. Cooper. Quite a bit of nudity.

J.A.W. Cooper is actually a beautiful young woman with a wonderful sense of humor, and an outstanding website. Her work is amazing, and reminds me at times of Clare Wendling, but just on occasion, with her fascinating animals. I also see wonderful creature creation here, storyboard scenes, and pictures that tell a story and leave you wishing to learn more. She is a brilliant technician and colorist. She has appeared in the Spectrum Annual. She does 6-color prints and Giclee limited editions of her work.

Here’s more about her, taken directly from her website:

J.A.W. Cooper was born in England, grew up in Kenya, Sweden, Ireland, and Southern California, and currently lives in smelly smelly downtown Los Angeles. Raised by freshwater ecologists, it is no surprise that an interest in the natural world is central to her work.

Cooper works commercially as an illustrator and art director for TV and movie campaigns half of the month, and works on her own projects as a gleeful recluse the other half of the month. In her “free time” Cooper is a profoundly creepy, solo-camping, feral woman. She owns a machete. She knows how to build a fire.

Do not feel the least bit bad if you do not know how to address J.A.W. Cooper – she knows that her name is confusing as fuck – please feel free to call her “Cooper” or “Hey you there lurking in the bushes.”

Written in the 3rd-person for maximum cringe-worthiness.
