Description

Here’s Joe Kubert’s Son of Sinbad rescuing a slave girl and a fortune in jewels. The Son of Robin Hood in Great Exploits. Daring exploits of US foreign agents during the Cold War in Secret Missions. Bernie Krigstein’s Explorer Joe in High Adventure. Wally Wood’s  Mask of Dr. Fu Manchu. All reproduced completely from cover to cover, also with Carmine Infantino, A.C. Hollingsworth, Frank Borth, Art Peddy and others.

Also: Morris Waldinger and Enrico Bagnoli.

These are from a variety of publishers: Avon, St. John, and the totally obscure Red Top, two rare titles from 1957. Everything else is pre-code, from 1950 and 1951, highly collectible and outstanding work by some of the best artists of the time. Kubert is at his best here, doing even better work than he’d done up to then on Hawkman in Flash Comics. Wood, what can you say, some of the best work of his this side of EC Comics. Kubert’s Secret Missions is a cool early espionage book with a killer cover.
