Description

The adventures of Disney’s Snow White continue in four complete all-new stories, first published in Italy from 1954-1960, and drawn by renowned master artist Romano Scarpa, who went on to do superb work on the Disney Ducks. Prince Charming leaves Snow White in the care of the Seven Dwarfs while he goes on an expedition with the king. But the Evil Queen is back! Then, the Dwarfs build a special diamond throne for the Princess, but when it vanishes, they set out to find the thief. Also: what is the secret of the eighth dwarf?

The four stories are Menace of the Witch’s Ruby, Peril of the Witch of Poisons, The Throne of Diamonds, and The Secret of the Eighth Dwarf.

Scarpa’s enthusiasm and respect for the 1937 Disney film is always evident. “While lesser hands might have  delivered a purely childish take on fairy-tale sequels, Scarpa, building upon a rich legacy, provides a great Disney experience that has taken far too long to reach these shores.” These stories follow from Disney’s own 1930s and 1940s comics (the evil queen is Grimhilde, the Seven Dwarfs are brothers), add new witches, wizards, spells, and even a Three Caballeros-inspired parrot to the mix.

Jiminy Cricket makes a guest appearance! Perfect for Disney fans of all ages. Full-color illustrations throughout.
