Description

40 years after its debut in 2000 A.D., “a great finale to end the saga…a fantastic send-off for the warped warrior.” (from Pat Mill’s new 2021 introduction). Exceptionally illustrated by Leonardo Manco, who has done a simply fantastic job on this — I thought it was the work of John Bolton or Glenn Fabry. A brand new adventure in this renowned sword and sorcery saga.

Albion suffers under the tyrannical reign of the Emperor Brutus and his Trojan army. Also bolstering his power are the dragons he has at his disposal, using them to spread terror across the land. Celtic warrior Sláine is leading a rebellion against the occupiers, taking the fight all the way to New Troy and discovering the secrets that lie in Brutus’s dungeons…

A bonus Gallery includes 8 pages of Manco’s page sketches in black & white, and full color painted covers, two each by Manco and Mark Montague (2) and one by Jock.

There’s also here a bonus story, “Bogatyr,” by Chris Weston from 2000 A.D.

Artist Leonardo Manco is from Argentina but has worked for companies all over the world, on titles including Hellblazer with Andy Dingle from DC, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, and Wolverine and The Avengers for Marvel Comics.

Weston also has worked for Megazine, Enemy Ace, Fantastic Four, The Invisibles and much more.
