This double novel pulp reprint features the original color covers by John Newton Howitt, John Fleming Gould's classic interior illustrations and historical commentary by Will Murray. Murray discusses the Spider-Man/Stan Lee connection between these two interconnected stories and also adds a special afterword.

Finally, historian Ed Hulme looks at the well-done 1938-39 Spider serial by obscure but talented producer Jack Fier. Six pages of fascinating details and pictures go behind the scenes of the creation of one of the period's best-ever serials, true to the characters and exciting.
