Highly Recommended. By Roy G Krenkel Roy Krenkel drew in a classic, fine-art, Old Master style that is rarely seen these days. Here are 180 of his best sketches, drawings, and paintings on historical subjects and settings. This was the very first collection of his work, printed by a small specialty publisher who was also responsible for publishing the prestigious Amra.
Two-page preface by Sanford Meschkow, five-page "Some Comments on Doodling" by Krenkel himself. Color frontis, some nudity, many finely finished pieces. Note: This is an out of print, used and/or rare book. Very fine copy in a Near Fine jacket with a little rubbing.

Very interesting collection of art which is a pictorial supplement to and an illustrative expansion of Great Cities of the Ancient World by L. Sprague de Camp and illustrated by Roy Krenkel. It also includes images of the imaginary Atlantis, nudes that show the influence of his favorite artist Norman Lindsay, and it's dedicated to illustrator Franklin Booth, who you'll also find influenced some of this fine work.

Note: This is an out of print, used and/or rare book. This is not in "mint" condition. The book itself is very fine, as new. The jacket has a very small crease at the bottom of the cover, and a couple very light scuffs (it is white, so very easily marked). The jacket back has a bit more scuffing on the bottom edge and the spine edge. Overall the jacket would be Near Fine.
