The original art that brought to comics life the writings of Neil Gaiman. A massive 272-pages--nearly 12 pounds--perhaps the largest Artist's Edition to date. Artwork by Sam Kieth from The Sandman #1, P. Craig Russell's The Dream Hunters, pages from The Sandman #2-75, and the six-page story Death: A Winter's Tale by Jeff Jones!
This hardcover volume is printed at 200 line-screen on heavy paper-stock replicating the original art experience, scanned in full color to show every nuance, every detail. Never before has artwork by so many different top talents in comics been seen in this format. This is VERY impressive. It features highly detailed work throughout. Artist Mike Dringenberg also contributes to Kieth's work in issue #1, where the majority of the work here is by P. Craig Russell, including what seems to be the complete 4-issue Dream Hunters series. There is also work by Charles Vess, Kelly Jones, Michael Zuili, Marc Hempel, Brian Talbot, Jill Thompson, John Watkiss, Shawn McManus and Jon Muth in a 78-page section that offers assorted pages from throughout the Sandman run.
Deluxe features also include transparent overlays on several pages where text or dialogue boxes were added separate from the artwork.
