Brand new 4-page February 2019 Introduction by series co-writer Roger Stern, who took it over from co-creator Tom DeFalco, due to the latter's promotion to Marvel Editor-in Chief and a lack of time to keep on the series.

Ditko actually plotted this series, much as he did on Spider-Man. Stern was thrilled to be script-writing for Ditko's plots. "Ditko really threw himself into the young hero's creation, designing Rob Baldwin, his family, his friends, and the entire city of Springdale." You can see Ditko's original model sheets for all that--one is included here--in the bonus art section.

Speedball went on "to play a major role in the New Warriors series. And though he later went through some rough patches, he eventually got back to his old self."

"Looking back over these stories, I still remember the thrill of opening these packages of Steve's art every month. I never knew what to expect from one issue to the next...just that it would be fun, helping bring these stories to life. Working with Steve Ditko was such a great learning experience. I was always amazed by the amount of story he could fit into just a few pages."

Collects Speedball #1-10, 1988-89; and material from Amazing Spider-Man Annual #22; Marvel Age Annual #4; Marvel Comics Presents #14 and 56, and Marvel Super-Heroes #1-2, and 5-6, 1990-91.
