With the fourth volume we're taking a break on the daily storylines and doing entirely Sunday strips, from the first. Terry Beatty in his blog questions whether a young Neal Adams wasn't ghosting for Stan Drake. Neal's first strip was Ben Casey, in 1963. More documented is Neal's own commentary: "The man taught me and I learned from Stan Drake how to handle the most sensitive..." The point is, if you like the spirited work of Neal Adams, you're going to love Stan, who was obviously a huge influence on DC Comics' soon-to-be rising star.

Roy Richardson and his wife June Brigman produced the art for Brenda Starr Reporter for fifteen years.
