Heavy weight sci-fi author Larry Niven joins the show in the second and final book completing the Star Trek newspaper strips. Finally available are these rare dailies and Sundays with ten complete missions from October 26, 1981 through December 3, 1983. Stories by Sharman DiVono, Larry Niven, Martin Pasko, and Gerry Conway; art by Ron Harris, Padraic Shigetani, Bob Myers, Ernie Colón, Dick Kulpa, and Alfredo Alcala. Edited by Dean Mullaney with an introduction by Rich Handley.
Star Trek comic books have been published almost continually since 1967. Astoundingly, the long-running newspaper comic strip has been largely overlooked by even the most devout fans. In 1979 Paramount commissioned the comic strip to pick up where the first film, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, left off and relate the adventures of the next five-year mission. Though it continued until 1983, this always had very limited distribution.
What's more, the strip has eluded comprehensive reprinting efforts...until now. Thanks to thorough research by a handful of dedicated Star Trek collectors, the strips have been rescued and restored. This two-volume set collects the entire run.
