Imagine waking up in 1939 and reading the first Phantom full color Sunday page in your newspaper. Now, for the first time, these rare Phantom Sundays are being collected at their full size in a huge archival reprint of the first six Phantom stories, including his origin! These Sundays were created in a half page format, so this reprint is faithful to the originals and reproduces every detail.

These Sunday pages have the same look and feel of the originals, only now they're collected in a high quality art book format that will last forever. Almost two and a half years of Sunday pages, complete. The six stories are "The League of Lost Men," "The Precious Cargo of Colonel Winn," "The Fire Goddess," "The Beachcomber," "The Saboteurs," and the classic "Return of the Sky Band."

By now Falk and Moore realized that female interest helped sell the strip, so they not only created the all-girl Sky Band, they filled these strips with both beautiful, innocent young ladies in distress and glamorous but decidedly bad girls. There's even a spanking that the Phantom gives to one of two ladies who've put him through his paces, including shooting him and throwing him overboard!

The introduction includes original art of both Phantom and Mandrake Sunday pages, a wonderful Mandrake film poster, pictures of Falk, Moore, and McCoy. All in all, a very impressive volume!
