- Full Description
Two more classic pulp novels from early on, 1934, and 1940. In "The Mad Horde," rabid creatures are unleashed upon mill towns to undermine America's vital steel industry. In "Slaves of the Laughing Death," the fiend of 1000 faces known only as Munro returns for a deadly rematch with the Spider, armed with a deadly weapon that causes victims to laugh until they die! "The Web" essay by Will Murray adds detail about each story.
Nicely done interior art by J.T. Fleming-Gould. We like how he offers portraits of all the leading characters, which was an oft-used theme in the early pulps. That way it's easier to picture--and keep track of--the various players, whether Nita and our hero The Spider, or the various supporting characters and evil fiends!
