We next find Donald donning a suit of armor with a rubber sword for a costume party, but he embarrasses Daisy and becomes the object of scorn and ridicule — until a pair of lions break free! And when Gyro Gearloose invents a virtual reality headset, Donald and the boys find themselves menaced by fearsome creatures on other worlds.

Carl Barks delivers another superb collection of imaginative exuberance, high-concept hijinks, and all-around cartooning brilliance. Since these are only the Barks stories, this skips a few of the issues noted above that were not by Barks. Boy, are these mini-classics.

Over 160 pages of story and art, each meticulously restored and newly colored. plus twenty more pages of story notes and a special essay, "Life Among the Ducks," by Barks authority Don Ault. Insightful story notes by an international panel of Barks experts.

This series is really the ultimate collection of Barks' work, featuring superlative restored reproduction with the original coloring, and annotations to bring all the material in context.
