- Full Description
Here are many of Barks' most beloved long adventure stories. Worried an earthquake might swallow his money bin, Scrooge discovers an underground civilization: the Terries and Fermies. Then, Scrooge shanghais Donald and the kids to the Himalayas to help him recover “The Lost Crown of Genghis Kahn.” And when Scrooge is hypnotized to go back in time and learn the location of a pirate’s buried treasure, he thinks he’s got a clear shot. Sure he does. 21 great stories.
The Terries and the Fermies are great fun— the subterranean critters who make earthquakes! Of special note, the presentation of this story restores two pages that were cut from its original publication.
This also includes the classic "The Fantastic River Race" where Scrooge, Donald and the kids are in a riverboat race with the Beagle Boys, with special aid from Gyro Gearloose! This first appeared in Uncle Scroogge Goes to Disneyland in 1957.
This is all Barks writing and all Barks artwork, from his prime creative period. Great comics for all ages. Bonus: includes 26 pages of story notes, an article on Barks by Donald Ault, "Back to What Should Have Been" by Mike Catron, describing restoring the original stories before editing, plus all covers and special artwork.
